I am very grateful for Christian Science nurses and practitioners, and for the allness of God’s power, which has been revealed to me so clearly in Christian Science.
In early January of this year, I was staying at my daughter’s home in a Boston suburb and had gone outside to walk the family dogs before leaving to drive home. Because my daughter and her husband were having some trouble with critters (mice and squirrels) getting into their house, I decided to walk around to see if I could help them find the way an animal might have gotten in from the outside.
At the top of some stone steps in a rock wall, I stepped on a piece of slate, which was covered with black ice. My feet flew out from under me, and I came down hard on the rocks. I immediately began praying for myself by declaring God’s presence and my inability to fall from God’s care.
