Kim Crooks Korinek: Each of Mary Baker Eddy’s periodicals has a distinct mission that fits together with the others beautifully, and the mission of the Herald is “to proclaim the universal activity and availability of Truth” (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 353).
The Herald of Christian Science helps pioneer the farther reach of the ideas in Christian Science. “Universal activity” means “knows no boundaries,” and we’ve seen that with our Heralds. Our magazines unite the Christian Science movement in responding to all of humanity’s needs. We’re not segregated into cultural categories. The victories we have over disease, prejudice, terrorism, witchcraft, materialism, intellectualism, and atheism are victories for all of us. The universal availability of Truth lets us know that there are always new ways to fulfill our obligation and duty to all of mankind.
