When I took Primary class instruction in Christian Science, I recall learning that true vision is spiritual discernment, and I’ve made great progress in understanding and demonstrating this truth.
For about 35 years I have worn glasses. During those years I visited an optometrist three times, and each time I needed a slightly stronger lens. However, years after the last visit, I noticed improvement in my vision following two healings, during which time there was much spiritual progress.
In 2014 I started experiencing hair loss. I worked prayerfully to address this for three months. At first, I held to the truth of God’s allness, but saw no improvement. One day while studying the Christian Science Bible Lesson on the subject “Matter,” I realized that other claims associated with aging had also come up in my experience, such as occasional minor aches. I knew these issues were suggestions, and that I could overcome them through my understanding of Christian Science.
