Last spring, while training for my upcoming sports season, I strained my groin. According to medical/sports therapy estimates, the typical length of time it takes for an injury like this to heal is four to six weeks. And with the spring track season being quite short, taking this amount of time off would have meant missing many opportunities to compete!
Gratefully, when challenges such as this present themselves in my life, I’ve seen complete physical healing result from turning to God in prayer. Whether I feel the need to call a Christian Science practitioner for treatment through prayer or I choose to address the challenge solely through my own prayerful work, I’ve found prayer to be the most effective means of seeing full, complete healing.
To address the groin strain, I decided to call a practitioner. After I spoke with her over the phone, a sense of peace and joy came over me. In fact, many of the day-to-day concerns I had constantly been worrying about—regarding schoolwork, friendships, and other things that can crop up for a college student—just seemed to melt away, and I found myself going about my activities with a fresh and joyous spirit.
