Stop contagion in its tracks

From the April 2021 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A few years ago I was texting with a business colleague late one evening, and she apologized for not getting back to me sooner, saying, “Another kid has joined the flu train and it’s getting ugly.” She had three young children and a very active household, and I could hear the stress and worry she was feeling about the coming days.

Without hesitation, I texted back, “Don’t get on the train! Get a ticket refund!” She responded with something positive, and we made plans to move our meeting to the next day.

After putting my phone down, I affirmed that because God, good, is all, there is nothing unlike good; therefore, there can be no contagion and no disease that has a course to run. We don’t need to accept the belief that there are stages of sickness. Any belief of disease is destroyed by the law of divine health and harmony. Christ, Truth, as Jesus demonstrated, is with each of us, assuring us of our God-given freedom from sin and sickness.
