Recently when I was serving in my local Christian Science Reading Room, I was unenthusiastically working on a task that needed to be completed that day. And there was an additional task I knew I should do, but that I could put off.
I needed help in overcoming my feelings of sluggishness, so I turned to the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
From the middle of page 217 to the middle of page 219, in the chapter entitled “Footsteps of Truth,” I found ideas about addressing fatigue, weariness, and weakness through prayer. For example: “The consciousness of Truth rests us more than hours of repose in unconsciousness” (p. 218).
