Poems

All together

From the August 2024 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Those—beloved—who’ve gone before,
passed beyond our present sight;
when vision yields to divine law,
we shall see them in Life’s light.

They, known thus through spiritual sense,
live unbroken existence.
As they do, so also we,
dwell in Love eternally.

In the heaven of God’s allness,
beyond supposed death-process,
beyond the sway of that rent veil,
realities divine prevail.

Passing of years has no truth in it.
Eternity owns no limit.
Enoch; and Melchizedek;
Moses; Elijah; and John;
Christ Jesus by his resurrection;
prove that Life’s heedless of death.

No sense in body; the Divine
shows man reflects God’s design,
transcendent over toils of earth,
wholly separate from birth;

for we exist in Spirit, Mind,
by God, Life, alone defined;
we, they, safe, embraced by Soul—
indestructible, heart-whole.

Love itself is Life, has always been;
no earthbound sense to intervene,
no starting point, nor interlude
in boundless Life’s infinitude.

In true consciousness that’s Mind—
omnipresence unconfined—
in eternal accord with one another
we are held by Father-Mother.

No separation breaks forever—
no time, no aging—but each day
ascending steps illume the way.
All lives abound in Life. Together.
