My first and most significant healing in Christian Science was of chronic eczema almost two decades ago. The condition began as a rash which rapidly spread to most of my body, causing great discomfort. While relatively new in my understanding of Christian Science, I felt sufficiently confident that I could rely on its teachings to find healing. However, the healing called for persistence in prayer.
When the symptoms first appeared, I read countless articles and testimonies of healing in the Christian Science Sentinel and Journal, and sought inspiration from them, but to no avail.
In fact, I recall the condition worsened. I sought the skilled help of a Christian Science nurse a few times to keep the areas I couldn’t reach clean. I also called a Christian Science practitioner for treatment through prayer, as fear was overshadowing my capacity to pray for myself.
