About a year into my public practice of Christian Science, I was busy with people calling for treatment, and I was learning each day to be disciplined with my time. I had gained such a deep understanding that it was God’s day and that I was reflecting His love and witnessing His love in every person who called. I also understood the healing activity of the Christ, which Jesus demonstrated, was included in every aspect of my life—in my home, my family, my church, and all my activities and interactions with others.
I had three small children I was homeschooling, so I had the responsibility of keeping them organized, giving them their work for the day, and getting them to their sports and music lessons.
I was truly leaning on God and all that I had learned from Christian Science. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: “To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings” (p. vii). Daily, I leaned more and more on God, relying on His Word, resting in divine Love’s arms.
