A heart full of love for the world

From the November 2026 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Each week, The Mother Church fields questions about the practice of Christian Science from public practitioners of this healing ministry and those who call upon them for help, as well as from those who desire to take up the healing work as a profession. The Church’s Office of Christian Science Practitioner Activities and the Journal are partnering on this series that looks at a number of these questions, with answers written by Journal-listed practitioners from around the globe. Whether you are a practitioner, thinking about engaging one, or thinking about accepting requests for help for the first time, we hope it enlightens your understanding of the many facets, joys, and responsibilities of the public healing practice of Christian Science.

For this issue we asked the question, “Why should I consider myself a Christian Science practitioner?”
