I wish to express my profound gratitude for what was a landmark healing for me in Christian Science.
In the fifth month of my pregnancy with my third child, a routine scan showed the possibility of a problem in the growth of my baby’s heart. I was requested to see a specialist, who confirmed that there was indeed a problem.
Around this time, the situation with Covid lockdowns was increasingly unpredictable. I was due to give birth in my home country—something required to ensure I could pass my nationality on to the baby. My husband and I therefore decided that I should go ahead and take our two other children there sooner than planned in order to avoid the risk of being unable to enter the country at a later date. My husband had responsibilities toward his three older children in the country where we lived, but we agreed this was the best solution. It was hoped that my husband would be able to join me in time for the birth.
