Welcome - May 2026

From the May 2026 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear Friend,

What do you think of when you hear the word reconcile? Maybe it reminds you of restoring a lost friendship. Or business owners might think about harmonizing income and expenses. The Bible speaks of being “reconciled” to God. But if God is our loving creator, how are we reconciled with Him?

Mary Baker Eddy, Discoverer of Christian Science, explains in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: “It was therefore Christ’s purpose to reconcile man to God, not God to man. . . . Even Christ cannot reconcile Truth to error, for Truth and error are irreconcilable” (p. 19).
