FROM THE TREASURER OF THE MOTHER CHURCH Per Capita Tax , as provided in the Church Manual, Article VIII, Section 13 , is due annually from "every member of The Mother Church," and "shall be forwarded each year to the Church Treasurer. " Statements are mailed annually to all members.

[As published in the Christian Science Sentinel, April 6, 1946] ITEM OF INTEREST Branch Churches and Wartime Measures During the war years some branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, and Christian Science Societies, particularly those located in coastal areas, found it difficult because of the blackouts and restrictions on transportation to hold their business and committee meetings at the usual time. The gasoline rationing limited for many the number of trips which could be made weekly.

MEMBERSHIP NOTICE Applications for membership in The Mother Church are acted upon by The Christian Science Board of Directors, twice each year, as provided for by the Manual of The Mother Church, Article XIII, Section 2. The next date for the admission of applicants in The Mother Church is May 31, 1946.

Convincing testimonies of Christian Science healing are welcome. Each testimony should be verified by three members of The Mother Church who know of the healing or can vouch for the integrity of the testifier.
