ITEMS OF INTEREST [As published in the Christian Science Sentinel, April 27, 1935] Sometimes it seems helpful to reiterate that Christian Science churches are not engaged in political matters, as is often written by The Christian Science Board Directors of inquirers. Christian Scientist as individuals have a right to their own views and affiliations in politics.

Articles, Poems, and Testimonies The Christian Science Publishing Society accepts religious articles and religious poems only from members of The Mother Church. Religious articles intended for the Journal, Sentinel , or Monitor should be sent to the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department, One, Norway Street, Boston, Massachusetts.

Announcement is made by the Publishers of Mrs. Eddy's works of the publication of "Christian Healing," a sermon delivered by Mrs.

Applications for admission to membership in The Mother Church may be sent to the Clerk at any time throughout the year. It is desirable that applications should be forwarded in ample time so that they may receive the essential preliminary attention before the date of election.

Recently, under the auspices of the Manager of Committees on Publication for The Mother Church, a new series of radiocast programs on Christian Science was instituted. These programs are sent out by short wave from the World Wide Broadcasting Corporation, whose call letter is WIXAL.

FROM THE DIRECTORS [As published in the Christian Science Sentinel , February 23, 1935] As the date for the admission of new members to The Mother Church approaches, certain reminders are timely. While it is eminently desirable for the student of Christian Science to become a member of The Mother Church, since it tends to growth in understanding and demonstration, there is need of prayerful consideration regarding preparation on the part of those who may be about to apply for admission.

Inquiries received by the Directors of The Mother Church as to whether the Reconstruction and Furnishing Fund of The Mother Church is still receiving contributions have led to this statement that the need has not yet been fully cared for. Contributions have been generous from branch churches and societies and also from individuals.
