Annual Meeting 1995

In December 1894 Mary Baker Eddy ordained the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as pastor over The Mother Church. This Rule was extended by her in April 1895 to include all branch churches.

A reader of Science and Health from Alaska relates the following: "The offer to purchase three paperback copies of Science and Health at a special price encouraged me to buy several and then pray for the right opportunities to share them in my community. "One of the first such opportunities came through my volunteer training at our fine museum.

During the week of Annual Meeting 1995, Concord training sessions will be offered according to the following schedule: 9 a. m.

In the Manual of The Mother Church , Mary Baker Eddy gives every member this privilege: "Only members of The Mother Church are qualified to approve for membership individuals who are known to them to be Christians, and faithful, loyal students of the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( Art. VI, Sect.

At Annual Meeting time 1995, training sessions on the IBM and Macintosh versions of Concord, A Study Package will be offered for both beginning and advanced users. Cost will be $50 per three-hour session.

As mentioned in last month's Journal , prices have been substantially reduced for the 30-cassette edition of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (was $200, now $99) and for Concord , A Study Package (was $295, now $150). This price reduction has now been extended to the 25-compact-disc edition of Science and Health as well (was $275, now $175).

How is Sunday School helping young people and their families cope with today's challenges? Do you know of parents or children who are searching for the unique resources offered by Christian Science Sunday Schools? "Telling A Different Story" is a video message from the Clerk's Office of The Mother Church. It's available to youth, parents, Sunday Schools, and branch church congregations.
