On July 20, The Christian Science Board of Directors announced the election of a new Editor of The Christian Science Monitor who would also oversee the Monitor's radio news broadcasts. It is the first time that both the paper and the Monitor's radio activities will report to the same Editor.

Special Thanksgiving Full Text Quarterly This year, the Thanksgiving Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly is again being made available in a stand-alone full text booklet format. Because of the overwhelming response received after last year's issue, plans for the Thanksgiving Full Text booklet were put in motion earlier, and as a result, the booklet will be available in time for the Canadian observance of Thanksgiving in October as well as for individual study throughout September, October, and November.
As part of the churchwide renewed commitment to Science and Health, the Office of the Publisher of the Writings of Mary Baker Eddy has been offering each new member of The Mother Church a free copy of the book for sharing. As "payment," new members are asked to let us know their experiences, and in turn we want to share some of these with Journal readers.

An invitation to branch churches near military installations Christian Science Ministers for Armed Services Personnel are civilians appointed by their branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, to help meet the needs of Christian Science active-duty service personnel, and their dependents, at military installations. Branch churches in the United States that have one or more military installations near them may wish to appoint a member to serve as a Christian Science Minister.
The following members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship are available to give in-person lectures for the lecture year beginning July 1, 1994. Any lecturer may be invited by any branch church or Christian Science college organization to lecture in any part of the world.
