To learn more about Christian Science If you are reading the Journal for the first time and would like to find out more about the teachings of Christian Science, Christian Scientists in your area warmly invite you to attend church services and use the local Reading Room. Services are held on Sunday and are based on readings from the Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

We are happy to announce our election of William H. Hill, C.

Mary Baker Eddy , in one concise sentence, summarized the purpose of her lifework: "—to impress humanity with the genuine recognition of practical, operative Christian Science" ( Miscellaneous Writings, p. 207 ).

This year's Annual Meeting continues our Church's focus on Science and Health by considering the textbook's role, together with the Bible, as the pastor.

An invitation to branch churches near military installations Christian Science Ministers for Armed Services Personnel are civilians appointed by their branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, to help meet the needs of Christian Science active-duty service personnel, and their dependents, at military installations. Branch churches in the United States that have one or more military installations near them may wish to appoint a member to serve as a Christian Science Minister.

From time to time we'll be passing along to you items of interest concerning Biblical archaeology—a field that is making important contributions to Scriptural history.
