On December 19, 1894, Mary Baker Eddy ordained as pastor of The Mother Church, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In April 1895 the ordination of these books was expanded to include all branch churches.
Admission of new members to The Mother Church takes place twice each year, on the Friday before the first Sunday in June, and on the first Friday in November. At the November 1993 admission, The Christian Science Board of Directors elected into membership individuals from forty-four countries.

We receive a steady flow of correspondence from readers of the Christian Science periodicals telling about how much these publications have meant to them.
We often get correspondence about the poetry in the religious periodicals. One of our contributors who has had several poems published, recently shared some ideas.
