Because of the unprecedented success of last year's "bundle" specials and specific requests throughout the year, The Christian Science Publishing Society is offering a wide array of gift sets for National Bible Week and the holidays, available from October 1, 1993, through January 31, 1994. There's something for everyone, with special prices on: • A Light Unto My Path • "The Bible in Story and Song" children's videos • Books and videos for adults and children derived from the award-winning coverage of The Christian Science Monitor (including the new Monitor book Growing Your Garden The Earth-Friendly Way ) • "Variety packs" of audiocassettes, CDs • The "Twentieth-Century Biographers Series" • Ideas on Wings (poems), and • Assorted leaflets, pamphlets, and books in French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.

When readers of Science and Health consider how natural it is to share what they love, they find themselves looking at others in a new way. They're recognizing in friends and co-workers a capacity to appreciate the divine logic and comfort in Science and Health.

In response to a long-felt need for more timely and inclusive lecture listings in the Christian Science Sentinel and The Herald of Christian Science , we are pleased to announce that every confirmed lecture will be listed. There will no longer be any charge to the branches for these notices, and no special form to fill out.

To learn more about Christian Science If you are reading the Journal for the first time and would like to find out more about the teachings of Christian Science, Christian Scientists in your area warmly invite you to attend church services and use the local Reading Room. Services are held on Sunday and are based on readings from the Bible and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Normal class 1994

In the Manual of The Mother Church , Mary Baker Eddy provides for the continuity of her teaching through the establishment of the Board of Education. Article XXIX, Section 2, states: "Loyal Christian Scientists' pupils who so desire may apply to the Board of Education for instruction; and if they have practised Christian Science healing successfully three years and will furnish evidence of their eligibility therefore, they are eligible to enter the Normal class.

"I've had a wonderful healing through prayer, but I can't write up a testimony because three members of The Mother Church didn't witness it—right?" Don't jump to conclusions! It is important that testifiers provide verification from three people who have firsthand experience confirming a healing. So, whenever possible, do provide their verifications for our records.
