Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

"THE ENNOBLING STRIFE"

The pioneer paths which men have trod in a search for the betterment of the human race have not been strewn with flowers, nor were they paths of self-ease and self-indulgence. History furnishes shining examples of those who, because of their deep humility and nobility of character, were willing to lay aside all sense of self, to do battle with the myriad forms of evil, and thus to contribute to the progress of humanity.

ANNUAL MEETINGS OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

An Annual Meeting of The Mother Church provides Christian Scientists with fresh inspiration and renewed energy: inspiration to reach greater heights of spiritual understanding, and energy to carry on the work established so effectively by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. The Christian Scientist returns to his home with many new ideas.

WHO AM I?

AS periods of human history come and go, trends and fashions provide popular topics for conversation. Today, unless those present are very alert, the subject of bodily weight often seems to intrude itself into the conversation of people gathered together informally.

GOD'S EVER-PRESENT WITNESS

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE reveals spiritual man to be not only God's reflection, but also His witness. In the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes ( p.

"MAKE ME ... A LITTLE CAKE FIRST"

ALMOST all of us, at some time, seem to be confronted with the question of supply in one form or another. Not many of us reach the desperate point of the widow of Zarephath, who said to Elijah that she was preparing to cook her last bit of food for herself and her son, "that we may eat it, and die" ( I Kings 17: 12 ).
