"THE STONE THAT SMOTE THE IMAGE"

Nebuchadnezzar , king of Babylon, once vainly demanded of his pagan magicians and astrologers that they tell him a dream he had had and its interpretation. When Daniel, the Hebrew captive, heard of Nebuchadnezzar's decree that the wise men would be destroyed if they could not tell the king the dream, he begged time in which to reveal the mystery.

THE WINE OF INSPIRATION

In Christian Science we learn that the spiritual wine of our communion cup is the understanding and inspiration of divine Love. GOOD WEATHER

" There is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather. " This saying was quoted by a certain Lord Avebury.

PRAYER

" The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love. " This statement by Mary Baker Eddy is in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p.

"I AM SOMEONE WORTH KNOWING"

To be needed! Is that not a yearning common to all mankind? That longing should not go unsatisfied, for it is a righteous desire. Its answer is found in the assurance that each of us has a worthwhile place to fill in the present order of things.

STABLE PEACE

Stable peace—the goal of civilized living. How the world tries through organized effort to establish peace! Yet, strangely enough, these attempts to achieve concord are made more often than not through the opposites of peace: strife and conflict.
