The Psalmist writes (Ps. 119:18), "Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law." As one lifts thought to God with this prayer of desire, he is lifted above belief in so-called material law to the discernment that real law is good, causing only harmony, and that man is held perfect by the laws of God.
The eternal, spiritual laws of harmony are operating everywhere. Understanding these laws and living in obedience to them, one is enabled to have good in every way. It brings a sense of security to understand that laws of God, the laws of harmony, are everywhere operative. As one understands that these laws are wherever he is and that they are operating for him, he feels joyous and has a great expectation of good.
One then sees so-called laws of matter as only false beliefs, which are rendered powerless by his knowledge of the nature of real law. He accepts harmony as the fact of being and knows that inharmony is no part of Life, God, but is only an illusion, the dream of material sense. If discord tries to present itself, one turns to spiritual sense and declares the truth of harmonious being, confident that man's harmony cannot be invaded; for God's law maintains spiritual man forever in a perfect state.
