IN his interview with the woman at the well of Sychar, Christ Jesus declared, "The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

MAN'S INDIVIDUAL KINGDOM

THE attitude of Christian Science towards the problems which beset human experience is one neither of indifference nor of avoidance, and it differs from the one generally adopted. Fortitude and resignation, however heroic, are not regarded as an end in themselves.

FROM studying the varied features and expressions of those we meet on our daily round we can easily appreciate how thought molds and fashions the body. Here we may see a face sweet and gentle, yet perhaps it speaks of grief or sadness.

One may read the biographies of noble men and women, listen to lectures that inspire with wisdom, be appreciative of the best in art and literature, enjoy the society of those who are stimulated by the same purpose —these various pursuits constitute human aids to right endeavor, and provide inspiration for it.

" NOW therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God. " In the world there are many millions of people of many nationalities and types, but in reality the real selves of all of them are members of "the household of God.

THE strength of the Christian Science movement rests in large measure on the fact that it appeals to the deepest and most enduring loyalties of which mankind is capable. These loyalties, superlatively exemplified in the life of our Leader, made it inevitable that she should found The Mother Church, that her work might be continued.

SINGING AND PRAISING

" IT is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High. " So sang the Psalmist long, long ago; and today, as we read his words, filled with vitality, we are inspired to look up and rejoice, and to turn away from anxiety and fear.
