Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

When a child said, “I think God helped me”

A few years ago I volunteered at the local elementary school, working with children who were having difficulty learning to read. The teacher gave me simple stories, and the children were to read them for me over and over, so that they mastered the stories and gained confidence in their reading abilities.

The first barometers, which were available to individuals starting in the 17th century, used mercury. Though another type of barometer is more common today, mercury barometers are still in use in many places.

Keep the doors open

Pray it forward

The woman in front of me at our little local grocery store was buying several bags of a gourmet food item. “That looks good,” I told her.

When I shared Science and Health in another’s language

I like to shop at a Mexican grocery store in a small town near where I live in Wisconsin. It offers fruits and vegetables that I enjoyed while living in Mexico at various times over the years, and speaking Spanish with the employees is fun and keeps me in practice.

What Simon Peter’s progress shows each of us

Growing spiritually is the most beautiful and worthwhile thing we can do each moment of every day. Opening up to spiritual progress brings us into the light of divine Love; it heals, restores harmony, and brings a deep and lasting peace.
