The great need today is for Christian Scientists to reach out into the community and spread widely the light of Christian Science. The early days of our movement were characterized by a crusading zeal to bring this wonderful healing light to humanity.

The growth of the Church of Christ, Scientist, is not massive, but it is steady, sure, and constant because it is built on the Rock, Christ. Its consistent growth emanates from a supreme cause whose energy is infinite, constant, unopposed by any real power, and certain of fulfillment.
The inability of individuals at times to understand their own actions is often exhibited in court trials. When a defendant is asked the reason for his misdemeanor, the answer frequently is, "I don't know.
Divinely and humanly, love implies discernment: a profound recognition of the dear worth, the satisfying goodness and loveliness, the very indispensability of its object, and a steadfast desire to cherish it. And love implies infinitely more.
"Keep it simple" is a motto all Christian Scientists may well heed. Why? Because the truth is simple and the truth is our goal.
Surely in God's universe, and there is no other, the law of God prevails. It is self enforcing.
If one were to ask a young person today to describe in two words the most pressing needs of mankind, the answer would likely be "justice" and "love," for many young people see clearly the central importance of these attributes of God in the solution of the pressing problems of men. On every front we are challenged to extend justice and equality to all peoples.
