First National Convention of Metaphysicians Begins a Week's Session on the West Side. An audience of about 150 people, one-fifth of whom would attract attention on the street by their peculiar appearance, assembled in the old Church of the Redeemer at the corner of Sangamon Street and Washington Boulevard, last evening.

The Annual Meeting of the Christian Scientists' Association was held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, Boston.

The Boston Traveller has some good words for "the great and successful work" we are inaugurating:— The rapid growth of the body of Christian Scientists of Boston, under the leadership and teaching of Rev. Mary B.

AN OUTSIDER'S VIEW

One of the religious attractions of Boston is the Church of the Christian Scientists. Formerly they met in the Hawthorne Rooms,—aptly called the Church of the Holy Elevator, inasmuch as a lift is used to convey those heavenward who do not care to walk up two or three flights of stairs; but this year the Scientists worship in Chickering Hall, one of the most beautiful and comfortable halls in the city.
