Church and Association

From the July 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal

[From the Tribune.]

There were assembled on a recent Sunday afternoon, in the Sherman House, a large number of Christian Scientists, among whom were noticed several well-known Metaphysicians, who listened to a short sermon by the Rev. G. B. Day, who has been studying the Science under Mrs. Eddy of Boston. The real object of the meeting was to establish a church in this city, similiar to the Church of Christ in Boston, of which Mrs. Eddy is pastor. Weber Music Hall will be the place of meeting for the present, where the first regular service will be held next Sunday at 3 o'clock.
