" The Christian Science God is universal eternal, divine Love, which changeth not and causeth no evil, disease, nor death," writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p. 140 ).

In his earthly career, Christ Jesus demonstrated the nature and qualities of the original man of God's creating. This man is described in the first chapter of Genesis as made in God's image and likeness, as good, and as having dominion over the lesser creations of God.

Perhaps nothing is more important to the progress of the student of Christian Science than church membership. It opens up an entirely new field of activity, and when the student makes the most of the opportunities afforded, great spiritual growth follows.

EACH individual is humanly identified in the eyes of others by his physical appearance. This identification, almost everyone will concede, is more than flesh, blood, and bones.

CHRIST JESUS brought heaven to earth. He broke the dream of mortality, which claims to separate men from Deity, and he exemplified the Christliness which proves humanity to be within the embrace of the one infinite good—God.

IN the last hours preceding his betrayal and crucifixion, Christ Jesus comforted his disciples and told them that they should love their fellow men as he had loved them. And then he said to them ( John 15:13 ), "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

GRATITUDE is the keynote of healing in Christian Science. It opens the door to the reception of Love's abundant outpouring of good to patient and practitioner alike.

Divine wisdom, Christian Science affirms, is universal and eternal. Infinite wisdom is impartially bestowed by God upon every idea in His creation.

In her book "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" Mary Baker Eddy writes ( p. 252 ), "The entire purpose of true education is to make one not only know the truth but live it—to make one enjoy doing right, make one not work in the sunshine and run away in the storm, but work midst clouds of wrong, injustice, envy, hate; and wait on God, the strong deliverer, who will reward righteousness and punish iniquity.
