CHRIST JESUS brought heaven to earth. He broke the dream of mortality, which claims to separate men from Deity, and he exemplified the Christliness which proves humanity to be within the embrace of the one infinite good—God. Jesus sought the regeneration of men which would restore their original integrity as the spiritual offspring of God. The Apostle John said of the Christ-man (John 3:17), "God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
As Revelator, John saw "a new heaven and a new earth" (Rev. 21:1) appearing to mankind as the real order of being. He prophesied, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people." And John went on to foretell the disappearance of sorrow and pain under this new perception of creation.
Mary Baker Eddy understood the Science of John's prophecy. Indeed, she recognized Christianity to be true Science and acknowledged the ability of mankind to see the new heaven and new earth even while in the flesh and on earth. The spiritual sense which men exercise is never outside of divinity, but is divinity's expression.
