Testimonies of Healing
A HEALING I HAD AT CAMP last summer made me realize just how quickly and completely God heals. One Friday morning, my riding class took a trail ride.
DURING MY SENIOR YEAR in college, I was confronted with some tough moral questions that led me to search for spiritual answers. I was becoming increasingly dissatisfied with myself and my social life at school.
I was introduced to Christian Science a little over two years ago by a friend who gave me a copy of Science and Health. I had developed an allergy while doing research in Milan, Italy.
A few years ago, when I went in to get some new eyeglasses, the ophthalmologist told me that I had glaucoma. On a later visit, I was told that I also had the beginning of a cataract.
Since my introduction to Christian Science almost 30 years ago, I have had many wonderful healings of physical problems, including the effects of tear gas, burns, back strain, and rectal bleeding. But here I would like to testify to a transformation that helped me let go of a hateful memory and decidedly unchristian thoughts.
I would start to become faint whenever I had to stand for an extended period. The third time this occurred, I was home, waiting for company to arrive, when the dizziness overcame me.
Many years ago I entered a Christian Science nursing facility with an acute breathing difficulty. My second night at the facility was one I will always remember.
I would like to express my utmost gratitude for the many healings I have had in Christian Science. Without Christian Science, I do not know if I would have made it through one particularly severe and trying experience.
I have seen many healings through applying God's laws as they are explained by Christian Science. In my family, there have been quick healings of flu symptoms, strep throat, chickenpox, a sprained wrist, a dislocated finger, and back pain, just to name a few.
For many years I suffered from a back injury. While moving some heavy boxes of paper one day at work, I felt a shooting pain in my lower back.
