Testimonies of Healing

When I was first given a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, I was working in a branch of immunology research at a well-known research center. At that time I was deeply frustrated.

ONE MORNING I had a snack, intending to eat lunch later. But as the day progressed, I felt an increasing discomfort.

When I first became interested in Christian Science, I had just started an advertising agency. As I grew spiritually, I realized that my most important goal was to learn to rely on God more and to express goodness in my life and in my business.

Late one afternoon about a year ago, I felt some soreness in the joint of my thigh. I didn't pay much attention.

Several years ago I began to have difficulty breathing at times. The problem worsened, so I asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me.

Over the last couple of years I have been deepening my commitment to spiritual growth. This past summer, I became much more consistent in my daily study of the weekly Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly.

Growing up, I had many healings through prayer, including healings of earaches, chicken pox, colds, and flu. A number of these healings were immediate ones.

Before I started the study of Christian Science, I frequently suffered from migraine headaches. After I began to study Christian Science, I would often call a Christian Science, practitioner to pray with me during these Usually the pain would decrease greatly and the length of time that the headaches lasted would lessen.

Yeah, old habits die hard . I remember as a candidate for the Methodist ministry, I smoked.

My husband and I met while we were in the armed forces during the Second World War. We fell in love and had 53 extremely happy years together.
