I First Heard about Christian Science from a neighbor who was a Christian Scientist. I was only moderately interested, though, until one evening when my husband and I had been smoking marijuana. I told him I was very concerned that my allergy symptoms were getting worse.
Prior to this, the allergist whom I saw regularly had told me there was no cure for these allergies. I took shots and other medication to relieve the symptoms, but I still dealt with allergies daily. Some of the things I was supposed to be allergic to were trees, grass, wheat, cats, and dogs. It seemed so absurd, because I loved all of them. The allergist also thought I had asthma.
I realized that I didn't need marijuana or alcohol to relax and have fun.
