Testimonies of Healing

In the early part of this century, my mother's eldest sister was diagnosed with incurable consumption. Another sister, living away, heard of the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs.

I am extremely grateful that my parents found Christian Science. It was a prediction of total blindness that caused my mother to search for healing.

I had attended a Christian Science Sunday School and had been healed through prayer as a child and young adult. Sad to say, during my middle years I drifted away from studying the Bible and Science and Health.

When I was a girl about twelve, I loved to swim and dive at a nearby lake. I would go to the top of the twenty-foot diving platform and dive off.

The very first Christian Science healing I had, early in my marriage, is special to me. I found I suddenly could not retain my food, and brought up alarming amounts of liquids, which were so acid they burned.

Last spring, when climbing into the tub to take my morning shower, I caught my foot on the edge of it and fell headfirst into the tub. I managed to get up on my hands and knees and, in this position, I began to pray.

My infrequent dating relationships had usually ended quickly when I developed puppy love crushes. But one situation had taken a different course.

When I went to a dentist in 1985 for a routine tooth cleaning, I was informed that my two front teeth should be extracted. I immediately said, "No!" The dentist then sent me to two other dentists who agreed with his recommendation.

" The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law" ( Gal. 5:22, 23 ).
