Deeply grateful [Special podcast with the Christian Science Board of Directors, “ Our duty to God, to our Leader, and to mankind ,” JSH-Online. com, April 3, 2020] I am deeply grateful for this podcast from the Board of Directors of The Mother Church and for the perspective that what would isolate and separate us is actually bringing us together.

Why write for the Christian Science periodicals?

After Christ Jesus fed the hungry multitude, he asked that the fragments of the meal be gathered up so nothing would be lost. What remained after everyone was satisfied filled twelve baskets—a telling sign of God’s abundant provision, as well as a lesson in the wise conservation of divine blessings.

In high school , while other teenagers were falling in love with their boyfriends and girlfriends, I was falling in love with The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel. I even kept a special notebook, where I pasted in my favorite poems, articles, and insights.

Why share my healing?

A Christian Science healing, “large” or “small,” is proof that anyone can experience God’s infinite love and healing power. It illustrates that physical healing, as well as transformation of thought and character, is possible—and this is good news for all of humanity! A healing published in a testimony or article in any of the four Christian Science periodicals can inspire readers seeking healing.

Testimonies of healing are a heartfelt thank you to God, and they encourage readers who are seeking healing. Looking over the testimonies in this magazine, you can see how people are living the Science of Christ in a wide variety of experiences, especially in the solving of health problems.

Why read and pray with The Christian Science Monitor?

The Christian Science Monitor is one of the family of four Christian Science periodicals established by Mary Baker Eddy to bring the healing message of Christian Science to all people. It complements and furthers the mission of the other three by presenting news honestly and fairly, which lifts the thoughts of readers and leads them to pray about issues in the world.

LIVING PROOF Deanna Mummert’s testimony in the December issue has meant so much to me that I had to write to tell you. It has contributed to several healings in my practice of Christian Science and in my own life.

Welcome

Mary Baker Eddy didn’t put much stock in words without deeds, so it’s no surprise that she put great value on reports of healing. A By-Law she included on page 47 of the Church Manual says: “Testimony in regard to the healing of the sick is highly important.
