Dear Friend,
“Are we there yet?”
That familiar strain from kids in the back of the car—sometimes within minutes of leaving home—could have a deeper resonance for those reading this issue of the Journal.
Look out for several references to God’s kingdom, “the kingdom of heaven,” weaving their way through the articles. And with each one, ask yourself, “Are we there yet?” I think the answer you will take away from what you read is a resounding “Yes!” You will find the heavenly kingdom described as the presence of God, where we always truly are.
That’s the astounding thing that Jesus came to tell us, show us, and empower us to understand and prove for ourselves. God’s kingdom, the reign of harmony and nothing else, is here and now.
That’s not what the corporeal senses report, nor what the human intellect concludes. They are blind to what God sees. But it is what the spiritual sense inherent within each of us sees, and examples in these pieces show what a healing impact that has, bringing to light more of that heavenly harmony in our hearts, minds, and bodies.
So, “Are we there yet?” In terms of the collective “we” reading this issue of the Journal, I trust that each of our hearts will answer, “Yes!” We will feel more clearly the kingdom of heaven that is always “at hand” as well as “within us” after reading these heartfelt contributions shared by you, our readers, who are our fellow writers.
