This year’s Annual Meeting of The Mother Church is on June 3. The editors who put together this issue of the Journal kept in mind this upcoming meeting with its theme, “Joy in the living Church.”
Church is more than a place where good things happen. Even when we have very fond thoughts for the building that houses a congregation, that’s not what real church is. The congregation of dear people isn’t all there is to church either. Church is “the structure of Truth and Love,” as Mary Baker Eddy, the Founder and Leader of this Church, defines it in part in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. 583).
