Admission of New Members

- Church News

It is a joy and a privilege for me to share news of today’s admission of new members. Admission takes place at a regular business meeting of the Christian Science Board of Directors and is required in the Church Manual. On Friday, June 5, the Board voted to admit new members to our worldwide church family.

Applications for this admission were received in English, French, German, Igbo, Indonesian, Portuguese, and Spanish and were sent to us from the following locations: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Democratic Republic of Congo, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, South Korea, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, Zimbabwe.

These newest members of our worldwide church family unite with us in making a commitment to the Church Mary Baker Eddy founded that is “designed to be built on the Rock, Christ; even the understanding and demonstration of divine Truth, Life, and Love, healing and saving the world from sin and death; ...” (Manualp. 19).

As always, our sincere gratitude goes out to all members and Christian Science teachers who support the admission of new members through their prayers and by approving and countersigning applications.

Applications for membership are welcome at any time. The next admission of new members will take place on November 6, 2020. Completed applications must be received by the Office of the Clerk no later than November 4.

With loving appreciation,

Laurie Q. Richardson, CSB
Clerk of The Mother Church
