Dear Fellow Members and Friends,
It’s a joy to share the following message with you all.
Suzanne Riedel
Clerk of The Mother Church
Dear Church family,
As Rich Evans, CSB, steps into his new role as a member of the Christian Science Board of Directors today, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin E. Ness, CS, to succeed Rich as the Manager of the Committees on Publication.
Kevin comes to this post with deep experience in both law and healing. Holding an undergraduate degree in political science from Rice University, a law degree from the University of Florida, and an MBA from Rollins College, Kevin practiced law in a private firm and taught college-level courses. But as a lifelong Christian Scientist, he found his greatest joy was in serving the Cause of Christian Science. He has worked as an attorney for the legal department of The Mother Church for over 17 years, becoming General Counsel in 2007 and serving in that position until now. In 2008, he became a Journal-listed practitioner, which was a natural extension of the steadfast Christian love and expectation of healing he brings to all his work. He leaves a cohesive team of talented experts in the field of law and will bring his healing focus to a global group of dedicated Committees and staff engaged in Christly correction of public thought in regard to Christian Science.
Kevin and his wife, Kate, are local members of The Mother Church, where Kevin has served as a longtime Sunday School teacher, having never lost his delight in working with youth from his days as a summer camp counselor. An avid reader and sports fan with a keen interest in current events, he brings a genuine appreciation for the world around him and the good in it. With this appointment as Manager, Kevin says, “I look forward to this new opportunity to apply the truths of Christian Science worldwide and to support Mary Baker Eddy’s vision for the Committee on Publication, which helps humanity have a clear and accurate view of Christian Science and the sure blessings it brings.”
Please join us in welcoming Kevin to this work.
Warmly,
THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
