Dear Friends,
We are pleased to announce a change on the Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society. Effective October 2, 2019, Scott Preller rotated off of the Board of Trustees, and Michael Fish, CSB, joined Robin Hoagland and Lyon Osborn, who are currently serving as Trustees.
As a Christian Science practitioner and teacher from Northern Virginia, Michael brings with him a quiet sense of humility and devotion to the Cause of Christian Science. A spiritually grounded approach characterizes all he takes on. And with an active public practice, he has great appreciation for what the publications and products of the Publishing Society offer Christian Scientists and the wider community.
Earlier in his career, Michael served in a civilian capacity with the Naval Air Systems Command, supervising the formation of engineering policies, processes, financial management, and facilities. When he left the Command as a Deputy Commander, the Navy recognized Michael’s strong management abilities by naming an award after him—the T. Michael Fish award for Quality of Worklife, honoring improved retention and morale and far-reaching innovation. The work of the Publishing Society will be blessed by Michael’s seamless blend of spiritual insight and practical application.
Scott will continue to serve in his role as a member of the Board of Directors and as President of the Board of Education. We are deeply grateful for the energy, vision, love, and prayer Scott has brought to his work as a Trustee.
We know you will join us in thanking Scott and in welcoming Michael.
