On equal footing

- Editors' Table

So you’ve written a great article—laid out your main idea and supporting arguments. You’ve prayerfully supported the endeavor, but feel as if something’s still missing to really drive it all home.

What about adding an example of how you’ve put those spiritual ideas into practice? Although an example of healing isn’t always necessary to a piece, showing the practical application of metaphysical concepts is a wonderfully relatable way to explain your ideas.

For example, it might be hard to write about how one can overcome character flaws and sin through prayer in a way that is direct but also compassionate and not preachy. But if you share the step-by-step process of how you’ve prayed to find healing from these challenges in your own life, the reader feels connected, on equal footing, and, most of all, can be encouraged by knowing that Christian Science is truly provable, demonstrable.
