Thank you for the report on the talk that Virginia Harris delivered at the Harvard symposium on "Spirituality & Healing in Medicine. " Her remarks about "God's love and presence holding on to [her]" just after an automobile accident nineteen years ago were most helpful and comforting.
Russian Herald available in special print edition In recent years, interest in Christian Science has been growing steadily in Russian-speaking areas of the world, including Western countries with large Russian communities. To meet this growing interest, The Christian Science Publishing Society has been broadcasting, via shortwave radio, a Russian-language edition of The Herald of Christian Science.
Recently, the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly included this passage Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: "Identity is the reflection of Spirit, the reflection in multifarious forms of the living Principle, Love" ( p. 477 ).
I would like to share how perfectly the article "John Wesley, the Founder of Methodism, and early Protestant healing" in the Journal fit in to our Christian Science Society's outreach to our community. One weekend last summer our family peace was jolted and shattered when one member announced she was having an affair with another man, and, without warning, precipitously left husband and children. Even at that moment, there was tangible evidence of divine Love's presence, and this continued to be the case as the following days unfolded.
