Testimonies of Healing

While the Titanic was sinking, and during the whole time I was working at the boats, I held to the truth, thereby eliminating all fear.

That I may in some small measure express my gratitude, I would like to tell to others what Christian Science has done for me and what it means to me. About four years ago my brother was healed by Christian Science treatment, after he had been paralyzed for nearly two years and when the doctors could do nothing further for him.

Although I gave the facts herein stated at a Wednesday evening meeting some years ago, I feel that they deserve a wider circulation than that testimony could give them. Some time during the year 1899 I was suffering from a goiter that the physicians who knew my case said must end my earthly existence within a few weeks.

Christian Science came to me in the midnight of invalidism, when it seemed that not a ray of light could be seen to lead out of the utter darkness. After a period of misery covering about two years, I was taken to a hospital in Chicago, where I underwent an operation for an abnormal growth.

Christian Science has brought so much of strength, love, and peace into my life that it is a source of constant joy to me to be able in some measure humbly to reflect the Love which never fails to set free from sin and disease those who seek its aid. There are many ways in which we can give a loving thought, a loving word of encouragement, and do little acts of kindness in our every-day life, and as we keep alert to Truth and Love, we are ever awake to these opportunities.

I began the study of Christian Science in 1908, in what seemed to me the very darkest hours of my life. One night, I was trying to think of something to relieve the sufferings of a sister who seemed slowly passing away, and over whose case the physicians were puzzled.

It is with a grateful heart that I wish to tell of the blessings which I and my family have received through Christian Science. Four years ago our nine-months-old boy was taken ill with acute lung trouble and had medical attendance.

In gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, also to dear Mrs. Eddy, I want to tell what Christian Science has done for me.

Sincere gratitude impels me to testify herewith to the help gained from Christian Science. During a period of four years I suffered with a nervous trouble and mental depression.

Christian Science not only heals the sick, cleanses the lepers, gives sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, but it also teaches the higher meaning of retribution. Six years ago the remorselessness of the Turkish government compelled me to leave my home in Armenia and come to this country.
