Testimonies of Healing
I feel that I have not been doing right in withholding a public acknowledgment of what Christian Science has done for me and mine, though I am unable to find the words to tell the half. It is over six years since I first heard of Christian Science.
My heart goes out in gratitude to God, also to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me and for all mankind.
I have great reason to be thankful to God for Christian Science, for to it I owe deliverance from many ills. Over six years ago I was healed of nervous exhaustion by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.
It was my good fortune in wedlock to find an elevating and rarely harmonious companionship of forty-four years' duration. A large family came to us, and there were experiences of loss and grief, but seven children were reared under the most favorable conditions and well-equipped for useful citizenship.

When I first heard of this teaching, my then thirteen-year-old daughter had been suffering with bronchial trouble, asthma, catarrh, and an affection of the lungs, all of which seemed to be beyond medical skill, the various methods of cure resorted to, including surgery, being of no avail.
[Translated from the German] I write this testimony with a heart full of gratitude and with a sense of great love to God. In September, 1910, I came to Christian Science with but little hope of ever getting well again, as I had suffered with various and severe female troubles for a period of twenty years.
The writer is so rejoiced by a recent proof of God's presence and loving care that he feels he must tell others, as his experience may help some brother who is struggling in the dark with a business problem. Some two years ago, when very young in Christian Science, I joined a friend (not a Scientist) in the financing of a patent not yet tried out, but which seemed to us to have merit.
