Upon our many friends far and near we call for financial aid. Before another year passes away we should possess the building site for a church, and considerable funds toward the erection. There is no body of people doing the work that Christian Scientists are. Much time has been given in the past to gratuitous work, and something in that line will always be required of us. but we have a great cause to work for, and we must strive for something besides bare living expenses in order to carry it on.
We do not need large private bank accounts, and we may feel secure in every dollar given toward carrying on this work. It will bring us greater interest and less care than if deposited elsewhere. If each student will work with energy we shall be surprised with the results of the coming year's labor.
It is not alone upon the students we call, but upon our many friends everywhere. To those in Boston and vicinity who can attend our Sunday services we especially appeal. You know how crowded we have been in the past, and how hard it is to get a satisfactory hall to worship in, and we can have no home in any other church building, supposing we could hire it for the one service. Many of you possess wealth; will you not help us out of your abundance? You also will reap a rich reward in health, harmony, and peace, and have all the satisfaction that is to be derived from doing a good deed, and in making room for others to enter this fold of Christ.
