E. A. Bailey, C. S., preached at Chickering Hall on the first three Sundays of last month:—
Jan. 3, 1886. Subject: Man's Oneness with God. "And what agreement hath the Temple of God with idols? For ye are the Temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." 2 Cor. vi. 16.
Jan. 10. Subject: Hasty Judgment. "For the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again." Luke vi. 38.
Jan. 17. The Harmonizing Influences of Truth. "For they saw him and were troubled; and immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them: Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." Mark vi. 50.
From various sources we hear commendation of this sermon, which was designed to show how Truth always stills the waves of discord.
