About eight years ago, I first saw Science and Health. I took it up and read a few pages but could not understand it. The next year I took it up again, and after reading a while I made this remark:"I like this, there is so much Scripture in it." After that my daughter-in-law would occasionally send a Journal or Sentinel to us. My husband and I became so much interested that we sent for a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
I think we got it in 1897, and after reading it a few months, I began to put in practice what little I could understand, I had been troubled with dyspepsia for many years, had to be careful about my food, especially at night. After a while I could eat anything I liked and have had no trouble since. I also had bronchitis for several years, and that has disappeared. It is now five years this winter since I have taken a drop of medicine, and I enjoy perfect health. I was seventy-four years old Christmas day and I do all my housework, house-cleaning, taking up and putting down carpets, papering, etc.
I never have any fear of sickness or that I shall overdo, as I once did, and all of this I owe to the teachings of Science and Health.
