I shall never forget the joy I felt when the Bible and Science and Health were ordained as pastor for all Christian Science services.
Perceiving the profound significance of the Lesson-Sermon as a healer, realizing, even as the explanatory note says, that it is "a sermon undivorced from truth, uncontaminated and unfettered by human hypotheses, and authorized by Christ," I began at once to use it.
When a girl in the old country, I have gone to the sick, sorrowing, and dying, and longed for something to take to them better than I had, the husks of human sympathy; now I go forth, with the Bible and Science and Health in hand, and the sorrowing are comforted, the sick healed. I cannot do other than express my joy and thankfulness in the relation of a few out of many of these experiences, hoping my testimony may give courage to beginners, and to those in remote places away from practitioners.
