It is just three years since I first heard of Christian Science. All my life I had been very delicate, and had had several severe illnesses. Even when not laid up I was constantly in pain, and often the suffering was intense. I had to be most careful not to get overtired, or go out in bad weather, and also to consider what I ate. Altogether my life was a burden to myself and those around me. I had consulted doctors in Manchester, London, and other places, tried various treatments, spent several winters out of England, but none of these experiments did me any permanent good. Directly I was told of Christian Science I became interested, but the thought of being healed seemed too good to be true in my case. However, I soon found that to those who lean on divine Love all blessings come. I am now perfectly well, can eat anything, go out in any weather, in fact, do whatever I like. This physical healing has meant much to me, but my chief gratitude is for the joy and happiness which Christian Science has brought into my life. I do indeed feel endless gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful revelation of the truth which has made me free. It is a great privilege and joy that I am now able to help others, and my one desire is that I may get more and more understanding.
