From the July 1906 issue of The Christian Science Journal

As the exercises in connection with the Communion, the dedication of the Extension of The Mother Church of Christ, Scientist, and the Wednesday evening meetings of June 13 have been so fully reported in the Christian Science Sentinel of June 16 and 23, we shall not attempt to report them again in the Journal. There was, however, one feature of these exercises which stood out beyond all others —our Leader's Message to her Church—and this we republish on page 242. The exercises of Sunday, June 10, were made complete and memorable by this inspiring and satisfying message,—"Choose ye,"—which was ably read by Mr. McCrackan at each of the six services.

It has been Mrs. Eddy's custom upon occasions of special moment in the progress of the Christian Science movement to send to her Church messages of instruction, admonition, and encouragement,—messages which have been of priceless value to her followers in pointing them to the way of salvation, and her latest contribution to the literature of Christian Science is no exception in this regard. "Choose ye," takes rank, with Mrs. Eddy's best literary work, and the world has again become her debtor for its clarion call to righteous, Christian living. The thirty thousand people who heard this grand spiritual benediction read on Communion Sunday are unanimous in their expressions of gratitude for it, and it is with the greatest pleasure that this acknowledgment is made in their behalf.
