I first became interested in Christian Science about three years ago, when I was healed of a so-called incurable disease of the kidneys, as diagnosed by the doctors. I had spent much time and money for medical treatment, but received no benefit, and was finally told that about all I could do was to keep on a very strict diet, and that this might prolong my life a few months, as the disease was hereditary and incurable. When I told my mother the state I was in, she advised me to try Christian Science, and although I knew that both she and my sister had been healed through its ministry, I had never thought seriously of it until now. I could hardly wait to go to the practitioner to begin treatments, and I was entirely healed in five weeks. We have had many other demonstrations in our family, among others the overcoming of jealousy in a short time. I also had a very beautiful demonstration of Truth's power at the birth of our little daughter.
I am truly thankful to God for all that Christian Science has done for me, and to our Leader. Mrs. Eddy, for showing us the right way. I hope to learn more and more of this blessed truth each day.

I wish to corroborate the statement made by my wife, of her healing from kidney disease. Having been led to believe the doctors who informed me that her case was incurable, I was trying to reconcile myself to the end, and had almost given up hope of ever seeing her well again, when she surprised me by giving up the medicine and I at once saw a change for the better. It was not, however, until she had taken two or three treatments and heard me express wonder at the change in her, that she informed me it was due to Christian Science. When she was completely healed, in four or five weeks' time, it did seem almost too wonderful to believe, and among our friends and acquaintances it aroused great surprise. I have been helped greatly in my business affairs, and know that my success in that line has been occasioned by my understanding of Christian Science. My success in this direction seems to be limited by my understanding of the truth, but I notice that they advance together.
